Up to 3 scripts for my Gay Romance series finished (Rough Drafts) Indexed scenes for Episode 4 this morning. Will be starting on that one tomorrow. For right now, I'm putting the scenes and dialogue together to keep them under 50 pages. I print them out, read through them, making edits as I go to revise later. Then... once the first season amount is finished, I'll revise, and implement final formatting edits. The story is epic so it's going to be quite a few eps to go through, but I'm having a blast transposing the story into script form. Looking for how to end each one is a challenge, but then when I find the ending it's always so spot-on! (So far, anyway. Episode 4 may need to have some fill-in scenes to keep the continuity moving. This is good because those tid-bits of info. will be necessary to develop the storyline.) All in all a great opportunity. If you'd like to check out the Facebook Page for this story and keep up on its progress go to this link: https://www.facebook.com/WarriorGuardChronicles/ And hit the 'Like' button. I also post pics (models/Actors for the characters as I see them in my mind.) Inspirational vids, and the like.
Having a blast with this! I think I found my niche'. :-D

So, the last few weeks, I've taken up a new path in writing: Writing scripts. It is really a blast and I find it very easy to condense my older stories into teleplays. It's a lot to learn, though, as the formatting is exact in order to make the script professional so that agents and readers will take to it. I'm working on my Gay Romance novels for this project. One morning, as I was awakening, the words came to me from somewhere: "It will work better on screen. Do it."
Seeing as how I play movies in my mind when I write anyway, this actually made sense to me, and so I immediately took to researching how to do this. I've been learning by doing and plan to take an online course in March. It's fun and I'm seriously thinking I can probably learn enough to turn "Treasured Blood" and it's upcoming sequel into screenplays. I hope to get another rough draft episode  of my Gay Fantasy story done this weekend, while at the same time working on Book 2: Eve of Destruction. Lots of work this coming year, so please stick with me as I'm very excited for these directions. Yes, it is about Broship novels for me, but for the Gay Romance novels I've written, I am seeing them better as TV series'. I already have the rough draft to Episode 1 to my fantasy GR series  finished. I'm learning and editing to keep me in practice.
Thank you for your support in these areas and, fingers crossed, I'm hoping to keep you in the loop as this is happening. The fantasy Gay Romance has enough material for 20 episodes at the least. That's two seasons for avenues like Netflix or Amazon. As I practice it becomes easier and easier.
It's a niche' I never considered before and am seriously thinking I can do this without any doubt.
Keeping the Light on Love, no matter how it manifests.

One more chapter for the "Why Bromance?" book. Then I need to apply some quotes from other references. Once finished it goes to a beta reader, then once those corrections are applied, off to the editor. After that, one final read-through then off to the formatter. I'm hoping to get the book out by March if not April of this year.

As for Book 2 of The SaM Series... some new and interesting ideas came to me over the Winter Break. I'm hoping to flesh those out for the final part of Book 2 over the next month. I'm taking my time with this one as the first one was a study in being too eager to release. I had to keep going in and making corrections. This time I'm going to knock that aggravation down a few notches. :) So... there we are.

I'm also working on learning how to write screenplays. Yes, I've decided that my Gay Fantasy series "Warrior Guard Chronicles" can be transposed to script format and then, sending energy for this... to have it picked up. I've been working on this story for 15 years and have enough material for a 10 to possibly 13 episode season on say Netflix or Amazon. I'm moving on it, no matter what. I believe in it that much. It'll be filled with action, filled with angst, surrounding a beautiful love story. Trust me. You won't know what hit you. :)

Stay Brother-Friendly!

Hugs,

Janalyn

Given Bluehost was causing some major stress this last weekend, I considered the idea that I might have to disband the website due to technical difficulties beyond my control. However, I went in and, stubborn person I am, grabbed the bull by the horns and said, "It's not the fricken password! I just updated it a month ago and it worked fine!" I chose to RE-DO the password and do it DIFFERENTLY this time. Slight variations applied, I was able to FINALLY get into the web builder and now... I can keep the website. So... there we are. I'm actually glad as I didn't want to let go of this baby. I have MUCH to talk about with those who are interested in Broship stories (aka; Brother-Friend stories), so stay tuned.

This will be the stand-in newsletter avenue until such time as I can figure out how to put an actual newsletter together. (To be truthful, not many people are hearing about this form of story telling so I need to work on that marketing aspect.) However... that being said, I'm EXCITED as to the directions my writing is taking and cannot wait to share with you all! Hang in there. News to come hopefully this weekend. My vision is expanding and I want you all to come with me on this journey! If you LOVE brother stories or friends-who-are-like-brothers, and simply cannot get enough of it via fan-fiction or on screen... I'm your author. (I mean 'friendship'... not sexual stories. It seems that needs to be clarified, as in doing a Google search for Bromance Blogs, I found only those gearing more towards sexual relationships. To me, that is not what Bromance is. It's the friendship aspect, the phileo-love aspect, not the eros-love.)

So, if what I write intrigues you, then meet me in the Broship zone and be prepared. Life is going to get a whole lot more Broship/Bromance worthy.

(Yes, I also enjoy the Gay love between men, too, so I'm not wholly disavowing that aspect of my writing. I just... right now I prefer the brotherly-love angle. However... that being said... I have an announcement to make soon. Watch this blog for further updates in the Gay love arena for a story of mine I've worked on for over 15 years. And it IS a love story. So excited I could BUST!) :-D

Until then,

Stay Bromantic (Broshipic? Hmmmmm. Maybe I should stick to words that are already listed in the dictionary.) I got one: Brother-Friendly!

That'll work. :-P~~~~~

This morning, during that moment between waking and sleeping, the words: "Your Purpose is Fixed. Why Do You Question It?"

I've been waffling back and forth on this desire of mine to write Bromance/Broship stories. Where will it go? What if this isn't really my calling? What about my Gay Romance material (damn good stuff, I should say)? What about this, what about that? And so on and so on and so on...

I'm surprised the Universe hasn't hauled me upstairs and given me a good shake. "You little aggravating child of ours! How many times do we have to say it to you?? FOLLOW YOUR HEART!"

Well, this morning the words hit me so clear... "Your purpose is fixed." I have made my decision and there will be no deviation from the path this time. My purpose is fixed. I'm to write Bromance/Broship/Brother-Friend (pick a term that's comfortable for you), and go with it. I'm good at what I do. My feeling for this topic is the key reason for doing it.

I've also set my foot on an untrodden area. Friday I did something. I won't say what. I just did something out of my comfort zone. May the Universe bless the effort and whatever happens, happens.

I've been getting back into my Science of Mind studies... and ever since I cracked open those books... things have been happening this last week. Wonderful things. I'm letting go of my fear and doubts. It's an awesome feeling!

Stay Bromantic!
Hugs,
Janalyn

*FANFARE!! APPLAUSE!! RAISING-THE-ROOF-TIME!!!*
Yes, streamers are flowing, horns are blaring in celebration in the Robnett household! Why? Because after two years of chasing down an ending for Book 2, Eve of Destruction (the sequel to "Treasured Blood"), I FINALLY snared it! I know how it's going to end and why. Happily? Tragically? Will the heroes ride off into the sunset or sacrifice themselves? Will there be a tremendous amount of hurt/comfort between them, or will they emerge unscathed? Well, I'm not going to tell you. :P~~~~~~

This is me enjoying my achievement! And though it MAY leave things unresolved for others in the story (MAY being the operative word), as for this series, once I finish it, it will remain as such until if and when I get another idea for a stand-alone book. I'm just THRILLED to be able to report the ending came to me and I just now have to gear up for National Novel Writer's Month (NaNoWriMo) and get the rest of this book written. I have up to 12 chapters done, so starting with chapter 13, I hope, with the goal firmly set in my mind, to position the boys and their shipmates towards that ending.

Angst? Please! I revel in it. Hurt/Comfort? Heh, my forte'. Drama? I need some work in that, but I will not allow this one to lose such momentum. I've worked too hard for it. I'm excited that the ending has finally come to me. So, with any luck, the rest of Book 2 will at least have a heady rough draft finished by 11:59:59pm on November 30th, 2016. I'll be sure to keep anyone interested on its progress. Check back with this blog to find out more.
*Oh the ending has made itself known! The ending has made itself known! I'm off to work on outlining now with a spring in my step! The ending has finally revealed itself! Whooohoooo!*

Due to a commentator's suggestion, I'm working on a summary for "Treasured Blood." It appears many still think that stories depicting friendships between men are borderline Gay-themed. I appreciate the suggestions, but this is the reason I am pushing forward with my vision for "Why Bromance?" So many have geared their thoughts to that particular frame of mind regarding male friendships. It truly boggles my mind. I've lived with a love and passion for male friendship stories all my life and, though I have dabbled in Gay Romance in my writing, I've chosen to stick with my strength. Brother-friendships. I hope this meme will help clarify my goal with writing such stories. It's fine if you wish to visualize the main male characters as lovers, I have no problem with that, but as the meme suggests, I do not plan on making them so in the story. I spoke to a friend about this problem and she just shook her head and smiled. "It's love. Straight, Gay? Why does it have to be labeled in any fashion?" I agree. I hope, once the summary is proofed and uploaded onto the website, more people will get the idea as to "Treasured Blood's" take on such a theme. As stated above, to write a summary is a good suggestion, and I appreciate it, but the reason behind it left me a bit despondent. Will many people jump to that conclusion? Feel free to comment and give me your input. It appears my obvious tunnel-vision may be a detriment. Thank you.

So much is happening the last few days. The first draft of the "Why Bromance?" book cover was seen and, after some corrections and formatting suggestions, I'm pretty certain the cover is going to be awesome!

I'm also delving deeper into my spiritual studies on Ascension by reading David Wilcock's recent release: "The Ascension Mysteries."
Some fantastic synchronicity happenings there. I'm also working on the edits to both Book 2 of my SaM series and my "Why Bromance?" book. Very busy and eager to share what I discover as this process moves along.

Will also be cleaning up my living room today as it is awfully cluttered, and outward showing of inward doings is taking up the thoughts. I need to unclutter my life around me to help unclutter the inside of me. So, moving on and having fun doing it. I'll post the "Why Bromance?" book cover here when it's all finished. Stay tuned!
Until then,
Stay Bromantic!
